Ramon Jamora Silos was born on March 3, 1903 in Silay, Negros Occidental.   Like his older brother Jose 'Pipo' Silos, he too, spent his life as a Captain with the merchant marines, an elite class of seafarers in the old days.  He sailed the seven seas and saw the world having worked over 34 years for Victorias Milling as the Captain of the SS Nonsuco which transported sugar to all parts of the world.  When Victorias Milling sold his ship, he retired.  The Yrrezabal's took him out of retirement.  It is possible he also did a short stint with the Philippine President Lines.  He later became the Operations Manager and Port Captain for the Daichi Koun Kaisha Ltd., spending the rest of his career based in Kobe, Japan.  He passed away in Kobe, Japan in 1967.

Ramon married  Isabel 'Belle' Estrella Silos.  Belle was born on November 6, 1912 in Balamban, Cebu.  She passed away on October 15, 1989 in Manila.  Ramon Silos and Belle had the following children:

child  Ramon 'Mon' Jamora Silos, Jr.
